Richard & Willie – “Funky Honkey, Nasty Nigger” LP (1975)
The cover of this LP has shown up on a few sites that like to show off bad record covers and, yet, none of those sites were considerate enough to offer the contents of the record. What a tease! Well, I will now rectify that and, honestly, I don’t see what all the fuss is about—the cover looks fine to me! For some reason humor tends not to stand the test of time. What was hilarious twenty years ago may not be considered nearly as funny today. Regardless, this thing seems to hold up a little better than many, although it is mostly potty-mouth and sex joke stuff.

His red white and blue from a black point of view lp is on the bay for cheap with no bids at the moment, but maybe one richard and willie is enough in enough in the collection… and that cover is never gonna be beat.

Well, I’ve posted two of them–this and the first one. I have another one that I keep forgetting about, a later one dealing with the gas crisis, yet for some insane reason there are no pictures of the duo on the cover. It’s a good record, though. I’ll post it one of these days. For some reason those records are real expensive–not worth $30-$50 in my poopy price book, at least.
